30 Year Circle
In 1978 I began playing the tuba. Although I had played a number of marching band shows on Sousaphone during my junior year at Westlake HS in Austin, TX, I was thrust into the principal tubist's role at the beginning of the concert band season. My first performance in that position was of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherezade.
Thirty years on and I am still playing the bass horn. On November 23, I will be reprising my initial preformance of the very same band arrangement of Scheherezade with the Kansas City Wind Symphony. The concert begins at 7pm at the Village Presbyteriean Church in Prairie Village, KS. Please come and join us. Admission is free.
